Domain Expiration Cycles & Warnings

When a domain name expires, it doesn't instantly become available for registration. Instead, it enters a structured timeline governed by ICANN guidelines, consisting of three main phases:

1. Grace PeriodTypically lasting 30 to 45 days. The domain functions stop, but the original owner can still renew it at normal prices.
2. Redemption PeriodLasts about 30 days. The domain is locked and marked for deletion, requiring high restoration fees (usually $80+) to recover.
3. Pending DeleteA final 5-day cycle. The domain cannot be restored or modified. Once this phase ends, it drops back to the public market.

Why Browser Monitoring?

By tracking domain name statuses directly in browser memory, your lists are entirely private and aren't indexed by web scrapers. This safeguards your startup ideas from domain front-running or malicious snipers.
